We're 3 Months Old!

It's hard to believe, but our precious babies are now three months old and getting SO big. Where does the time go?! Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks we wanted to share with everyone.

We're all smiles first thing in the morning. The socks keep little hands warm at night - they outgrew their mittens a while ago.

What a pretty girl!

We love to ride - a trip to Great-Grandmother and Great-Granddaddy's wore us out

Here's Owen's beach hat...it's still a little big but pretty darn cute on him

It's Good To Be Home!

After a two-day drive we finally made it home. My mom flew up to DC and rode back to Alabama with me, the babies and the dogs. We said good-bye to Bruce (who will be home in a few weeks), Old Town and our house and hit the road. We stopped in Winston-Salem, NC to spend the night with Aunt Riley and Uncle Chris. They were brave and sweet enough to host two two-month old babies and two more dogs. Luckily everyone slept well and the dogs got along great! We finished the drive up late the next day and were all relieved to get out of the car. Now we're home, visiting with family and friends and enjoying the humidity and spring-like weather. (Yes, I said enjoying the humidity.) Here are a few shots from our last days in DC, the drive and our first few days back in Alabama. There are definitely more cute family pics to come.

Look Who's Smiling

Kathryn and Owen are now 6 weeks old and are getting cuter by the day. Just this week both babies started smiling and cooing. They love getting out and walking, or riding, in their stroller and the weather here has been so nice that we've been able to get out a lot lately. The babies are also big fans of riding in the car which makes every outing a little easier. Kathryn loves her baths and Owen is still coming around to it, but never really seems to mind after a few minutes. Their first trip to church was a success and they didn't seem to notice the music or singing. Every day we try to squeeze in tummy time and rotate the babies between bouncy seats, the swing and their play mat that lights up and sings. They love to be on the move and sitting still is not for them. They definitely keep mom on her toes! Our secret weapon for the rough days or nights is the snugli - they would both stay in that thing all day if we let them. Kathryn and Owen sleep more than Mom and Dad do for sure but we've noticed they're starting to go a little longer between nighttime feedings. All in all things are going great and everyone is happy and healthy and we couldn't ask for more than that.

In just a few weeks we will all head home to Huntsville to visit with family and friends before we move to Biloxi. It's hard to believe our time here in DC has come and gone but we've made many wonderful friends whom we'll miss dearly and we'll never forget all of the cool things we've seen and done. It's going to be hard to say goodbye to our church, our house and the constant excitement and activity that living in this area brings. However, we are ready to move a little closer to home and look forward to living on the Gulf coast...what a dream come true! Bruce and I feel blessed to have lived in this area only a short time and to know we'll miss so much when we leave - to us that means we're making the most of this adventure.

Here are a few pictures from this past month...we'll post more soon!
