After a two-day drive we finally made it home. My mom flew up to DC and rode back to Alabama with me, the babies and the dogs. We said good-bye to Bruce (who will be home in a few weeks), Old Town and our house and hit the road. We stopped in Winston-Salem, NC to spend the night with Aunt Riley and Uncle Chris. They were brave and sweet enough to host two two-month old babies and two more dogs. Luckily everyone slept well and the dogs got along great! We finished the drive up late the next day and were all relieved to get out of the car. Now we're home, visiting with family and friends and enjoying the humidity and spring-like weather. (Yes, I said
enjoying
the humidity.) Here are a few shots from our last days in DC, the drive and our first few days back in Alabama. There are definitely more cute family pics to come.
