Swimming Lessons

Owen, Kathryn, and Sullivan started swimming lessons this week.  They are having so much fun!  Their lessons are four mornings a week, for two weeks.  The instructor has the parents sit up in the observation deck above the pool.  It works wonders for the kids' courage.  Sullivan and Owen are normally timid when it comes to "swimming" (and by swimming I mean getting in the pool with puddle jumpers on), but without Bruce and me around you'd never know they were ever afraid of the water.  They jump, paddle, splash, and put their faces in the water - no tears, no fear.   At first it almost hurt my feelings that they would try all of these things in the pool with their teacher and not with Mommy and Daddy, but I got over that quickly.  I'm just glad they're into it and learning!  That's the most important thing.  I'll get some better pictures of them at their lessons before it's all over - I snapped this one with my camera yesterday.  Way to go Owen, Kathryn, and Sullivan!  We're so proud of you!

Spring semester is over and all I can say is thank goodness!  I'll start nursing school on the 23rd of this month.  I've got my scrubs, my stethoscope, shoes ordered, vaccinations almost complete, child care lined up, and just need to buy my books.  It's going to be a very busy summer - busier than I had expected it would be.  I'll be in class five days a week.  Our babysitters are so sweet and I know the kiddos will have a great time with them this summer.  I could get very freaked out about what's coming my way, but I'm enjoying my break and have decided not to stress about it.  I'm having too much fun with my babies and husband, watching tv, and sleeping to worry about anything right now!  Except laundry.  I think laundry will always stress me out.  Ha!  More swimming pictures to come...now it's time to get ready for gymnastics.  Is it nap time yet?
